Oliver B. Wright, 81 of Clarksville passed away Monday, September 28, 2015 at Grace Healthcare.
Funeral service will be conducted Friday, October 2, 2015 at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at First Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Wright was born in Clarksville, TN son of the late Bailey R. Wright and the late Gusty Mae Heflin Wright. In addition to his parents, Oliver was preceded in death by his sons; Mitchell Wright, Doug Wright, grandson; Phillp Wright, sisters; Bailey Mae Jones and Peggy Jean and brother in law, Michael Heitzman.
Mr. Wright was active in coaching Little League in Clarksville and St. Bethlehem for many years. He loved playing pool with his family and friends. Oliver was a Christian of the Baptist faith and recently rededicated his life to God.
Oliver is survived by Sons; Alan Dale (Hen) Wright, Michael (Susan) Wright, Mark (Bridgitte) Wright, Mark (Cyna) Wright, Chris (Jennifer) Wright, and Daughters; Sheila Uddin and Debbie (David) Saunders, Daughter-in-law; Liz, Sister; Betty Heitzman and Grandchildren; Sabrina, Rachel, Dale, Jr. Wright, Janice Nixon, Shannon, Steven, Zachary, Taylor, Joey, Tasha, Danielle, Sid Wright, Desiree Yarbrough, Megan Powers, Christopher, Heather, Nicholas, Kenneth, Hailey, Danny, Tony, Adam Wright, Dylan and Cheyenne Sanders, and 18 Great-grandchildren with two additions on the way.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers and the family has requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the First Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
