EDDYVILLE, Ky. – Funeral arrangements have been set for Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder, was fatally shot in the line of duty.
Ponder was shot and killed late Sunday night just south of Eddyville, Kentucky and troopers later shot and killed the suspect after he refused to put down his weapon.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 1 – 8 p.m. at Stithton Baptist Church at 95 Park Ave. in Radcliff. The funeral will begin Friday at 11 a.m. at the Severns Valley Baptist Church at 1100 Ring Rd. in Elizabethtown.
There will be no public visitation at the church on Friday.
The burial will follow the service at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery at Fort Knox.
