CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Up-and-coming pop singer and Middle Tennessee native Clairity recently visited the studio for an interview with Q108’s Scott Chase.

The 17-year-old singer and songwriter, born Claire Rachel Wilkinson, blends electronic pop production with airy vocals and a message of empowerment.

Clairity’s quirky sense of style and lyrical honesty are featured on her 2015 debut EP ALIENATION for LAVA Records. She pens her songs from her personal experiences with the pressures of trying to be yourself in a world that begs you to fit in.

Her sound has been compared to that of CHVRCHES, M83, and Radiohead.

Billboard writes: “Synth-pop fans need to get hip to Clairity immediately: the 17-year-old singer-songwriter, born Claire Rachel Wilkinson, has a sharp sense of song craft that is on full display on her upcoming debut EP, ALIENATION.”

Listen to Clairity on Q108’s “Q It Up” segment this Sunday at 10 p.m.

Q108 is actively playing one of the singles from the EP, a song about bullying called “DNA.”
