CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Detective Ron Parrish with the Clarksville Police Department is requesting assistance from the public regarding an aggravated assault that occurred Tuesday night.

A news release states that when police arrived at an apartment in the 800 block of Peachers Mill Rd. around 8:15 p.m., they found a man lying on the ground and holding his mouth.

The victim told police he had been shot in the face with a shotgun.

The victim was transported by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Detective Parrish does have a person of interest and is currently conducting interviews. The name of the person of interest will not be released at this time.
