CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Clarksville woman has been arrested and accused of falsely reporting an armed robbery at her place of employment.
Angel Brown told police that an unknown black male suspect entered the Boost Mobile store on Fort Campbell Blvd. where she was working Aug. 19. She said the suspect pointed a gun at her chest and demanded the deposit bag before fleeing the scene.
Several officers responded to the call, along with K-9 officers and Emergency Medical Services.
Police later discovered that the alleged robbery did not occur and Brown used the call in an attempt to cover theft from the business.
Brown, a 29-year-old Clarksville resident, was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail for false report with a total bond amount of $10,000.
Police said Brown refused to provide a statement of the missing money. The investigation of the theft will continue.
