CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A woman has been transported by LifeFlight after being shot in the neck in Clarksville.
According to Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department, officers received a call about conducting a welfare check in the parking lot near McDonald’s and Popeye’s on Fort Campbell Blvd. around 3:40 p.m.
A witness observed a woman bleeding from the mouth. It was later determined that she was shot in the neck.
The victim was transported by LifeFlight to a medical facility. Her condition is unknown.
On Wednesday morning, 23-year-old Maverrina Stanford from Nashville was booked into Montgomery County Jail with the charges of Aggravated Assault and Simple Possession/Casual Exchange. Her total bond amount is $251,000.
