TODD COUNTY, Ky. – Kentucky State Police are asking the public for help in the search for suspects in a home invasion that left a Todd County man dead and his wife seriously injured.
Police say preliminary results of an autopsy indicate 79-year old Amos Yoder died of blunt force trauma.
Police say they were called on Sunday to a residence on Old Trenton Road, near Elkton, where relatives had found Amos Yoder dead and his wife, Marjorie, seriously injured.
She’s listed in stable condition at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Kentucky State Police spokesman Stu Recke said investigators spent hours processing the scene. The case is being investigating as a homicide.

A source, close to the victims since childhood, described the Yoders as wonderful people.
“We never have murders in Todd County, especially in the Amish community,” she said. “That’s just not something you hear of at all.”
