CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville woman has been indicted by the Montgomery County Grand Jury on charges stemming from the 2014 shooting death of 30-year-old Joshua Simpson.

RC Eason of Gallatin, and Jerome Simpson of Megs, GA have also been charged, according to the Clarksville Police Department.

According to court records, Erica Evans was arrested last week and charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary, two counts of felony murder, two counts of criminal responsibility for a felony murder, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Evans and Eason are currently in the Montgomery County Jail. Simpson is awaiting extradition from Georgia. These charges were handed down by the August term of the Montgomery County Grand Jury.

39-year-old Lynwood J. Davis was charged with felony murder and aggravated burglary related to Simpson’s death about six months ago.

Davis is accused of killing 30-year-old Joshua Simpson while attempting to burglarize his home.

An original news release said Clarksville police responded to a shots-fired call on Jack Miller Blvd., but the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Simpson was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he later died.
