“The Little Mermaid Jr.” coming to Rossview High School Theater

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Gateway CAST & Crowns located on Riverside Drive will be bringing Disney’s “The Little Mermaid Jr.” to Clarksville for two shows at the Rossview High School Theater, Friday, August 2 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, August 3 at 4:00 pm.

The theatrical production will feature songs such as “Under the Sea”, “Part of Your World”, and “Kiss the Girl” from the Academy Award® winning 1989 animated feature film and 2008 Broadway production. Both are based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen.

Set in a magical kingdom beneath the sea, young mermaid Arial leaves her ocean home to live in the world. Along the way she defies her father, the king of the sea, escapes an evil sea witch, and meets a prince.

“This production stays true to both the movie and Broadway production and we are thrilled with the level of talent in our cast and crew. The sets and the costumes will be equally fabulous. The youth involved in the cast and crew have a large variety and high skill level of talents and this is a show that allows us to utilize all of those talents,” said CAST & Crowns Artistic Director Christy Corley Sanders.

Cast members include Elizabeth Batson as Ariel, Becky Bagley as the villainess sea witch Ursala, and a cast of local youth.

Tickets are $8.00 for children and $10.00 for adults.
