Tanker carrying gasoline overturns on I-24

Overturned tanker on I-24/WKRN

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A section of I-24 was blocked Wednesday morning after a tractor trailer carrying gasoline overturned in Montgomery County.

WKRN reports that traffic was backed up for several miles near Exit 11 around 10 a.m. Westbound traffic is still affected with the left lanes blocked.

Clarksville Fire Rescue’s Hazmat Team responded to the scene, and crews expect to have the roadway cleared by 3 p.m.
