HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – The three adult suspects charged in the sexual assault case involving a teenager in Hopkinsville were arraigned this week, and a judge found probable cause to bind their cases over to the grand jury.
Sam Miller, Tyler Perry, and Dayton Jones will be indicted within the next 60 days, according to Christian County Commonwealth’s Attorney Lynn Pryor.
They will remain in the Christian County Jail on $1 million cash-only bonds.

Pryor said one of the juvenile suspects in the case may be tried as an adult with the other suspects.
“I believe at least one of them (the juvenile suspects) is likely to be transferred as a youthful offender and presented with the other three adults. It’s my understanding that the other had just one class D felony and his case will remain in juvenile court at this time.”
In response to the sensitive nature of the case, the Attorney’s Office along with Christian County officials will sponsor an open forum for parents and students to discuss issues regarding youth.
“We want to talk to the children about some of the dangers that are lurking out there, especially involving cell phones and social media and what legal consequences might come from doing things you really aren’t supposed to do with those types of devices and forms of media,” Pryor said.
Other topics will include drugs, alcohol, and bullying. Representatives from law enforcement, the mental health center, crisis intervention, and the board of education will be present to answer questions.
Pryor stressed that the facts and details of the case will not be discussed.
She said the goal of the forum is to help parents talk to their children about the situation and the consequences of their choices.
“We thought it was a good time to have some real discussions with not just the parents of children in schools but the community as a whole,” she
said.
The forum will be held Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Christian County Middle School. For more information, contact Lindsey Adams at jlalaw@usit.net.
