Donations are needed for 4th Annual Stuff the Bus, an effort to provide local teachers with free classroom items to use through the Education Foundations’ CMC Teacher Warehouse Store.

STUFF THE BUS LOCATIONS:
Wal Mart on Wilma Rudolph 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Wal Mart Ft. Campbell Blvd -11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation, Five Star Radio Group, Zaxbys, and The Youth Academy are teaming up to host the event, which will be taking place at Clarksville Wal-Mart stores July 20 and 21. On-air personalities from 5-Star Radio will be present both days to help encourage citizens to drop off much needed supplies or monetary donations that will help teachers successfully teach students without spending money out of their own pockets.

Community members are being asked to donate various types of paper, pencils, dry erase markers, flash cards, learning games, Kleenex, hand sanitizer, office supplies, art supplies, STEM materials, and more.

In addition to the volunteers needed at the Wal-Mart locations during the event, organizers are also asking for people in the days following Stuff the Bus to unload, organize, inventory, label, and stock the collected supplies. This will happen July 22-24 in preparation for new teachers shopping dates.

In the past three years of Stuff the Bus, over 86,000 items have been donated and used to support student learning, while more than 1,036 teacher shoppers have utilized the CMC Teacher Warehouse this past school year. The effort has provided nearly $41,000 in supply savings to our public school teachers.

The Teacher’s Warehouse is just one of the many programs initiated by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Foundation.

Interested volunteers should visit: www.volunteerclarksville.volunteerhub.com , where the event is listed as “Teacher’s Warehouse – Stuff the Bus” and “Teacher’s Warehouse – Sorting Days,” or stop by on July 20-21st to donate.
