CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – One of five people shot last night near the Austin Peay campus has died and police have released information on possible suspects.
Vincent Pardue, 27, was killed and four others were seriously injured in the shooting on Carpenter St. in downtown Clarksville.
According to Clarksville police, a group of people were having a cook-out at a home when they came under fire in a drive-by shooting.
Two LifeFlight helicopters landed in a sports field on campus after 9:30 p.m. to transfer two people to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
The other victims have been identified as 31-year-old Timothy Russell, 23-year-old Dajuan Dowlen, 28-year-old Tony Greene Jr., and 27-year-old Quinton Fentress. Timothy Russell and Dajuan Dowlen were transported to Gateway Regional Medical Center for treatment. Tony Greene Jr. and Quinton Fentress were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment.
UPDATE: Investigators are looking for a white Kia Soul with Tennessee tag R0393D. According to an update by Clarksville PD, the vehicle was occupied by three black males.
CPD Detectives and the Crime Scene Team are investigating the incident.
