NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A man suspected of robbing two banks in Antioch this summer has been taken into custody, according to WKRN News 2.

Metro police reported 34-year-old Malik Armstrong was arrested Thursday in Greenfield, Tennessee.

Armstrong is suspected of robbing the Fifth Third Bank branch on Bell Road on July 19 and the US Bank, also located on Bell Road, on Aug. 15.

Police said during the US Bank robbery, the man passed a note to the teller, threatening to shoot her if she didn’t give him money. A gun was never seen and the teller complied with the man’s demand.

He is expected to face federal charges.

Armstrong also resembles the suspect in a July robbery at a Clarksville bank.
