Police investigate scare at Vista Lane daycare

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – According to a report from the Clarksville Police Department, an arson attempt was reported Tuesday, June 25 at a daycare at 1531 Vista Lane.

One of the employees told police when she arrived around 9 a.m., the front door was unlocked and she smelled gasoline. A screen had also been removed from a window.

The employee contacted the owner, and police arrived shortly after to investigate. Both front doors and two rooms were unlocked, and gasoline had been poured on the floor and several items in each area. Police found a piece of newspaper in the bathroom sink.

Police were unable to obtain fingerprints from the scene. No further information is available at this time.
