CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW.COM) Pokémon Go enthusiasts were playing late into the night Thursday when they came upon some Clarksville Police officers handing out cold bottles of water downtown.
Clarksvillenow.com was tipped off to the story by reader Yesica Arellano who gave police a shout out on Facebook.
District 2 Police Sgt Griffie Briggs brought more than 100 bottles of water for thirsty gamers at Riverwalk and downtown.
Officer Natalie Hall said as many as 100 Pokémon Go players were out past 2 a.m., and around a dozen more played until after 4.
Sgt Melissa Spielhagen wrote on the CPD Facebook page “Peace, Love & Pokémon.”
