CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville police detectives are asking the public for information about a murder that occurred Sunday around 1 a.m. on Teakwood Dr.
A news release says Liperial “Savon” Easterling, a 21-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Campbell, was shot and killed as he approached his front door at 2862 Teakwood Dr.
Investigators have not linked Easterling to any drug or gang activities.
Detectives are pursuing leads and tips and have sent numerous items of evidence to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) Lab.
Police have not identified a suspect.
There is an ongoing collaborative effort between Clarksville police, TBI, and military authorities to solve this homicide.
The motive for the crime is still unknown.
