CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police are seeking two individuals who are considered persons of interest in a recent robbery and assault.

The female victim said she met two panhandlers who were asking for money in a grassy spot between Dairy Queen and Walmart on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. May 13 around 5:30 p.m. Police said the woman gave the panhandlers money.

She and the individuals began walking and talking and ended up at the end of North Edgewood Place, where the unidentified panhandlers allegedly assaulted the woman and stole an undisclosed amount of money and property from her.

The victim was disoriented after the assault and was able to contact police after a passerby stopped to assist her.

The persons of interest have been seen in the Wilma Rudolph area near businesses such as Lowe’s, Walmart, Kohl’s, and Dairy Queen.
