Police looking for attempted robbery suspect

A suspect attempted to rob a business Monday, Sept. 30 around 4:52 p.m. at 804 Tiny Town Road, according to Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department.

A witness said the man was carrying a shotgun or large rifle and pointed it at the store owner and demanded money. The victim fled toward the back of the business and the suspect chased him with the weapon. When the victim left the business through a side door, the suspect ran toward his vehicle, which was parked next door.

The man did not escape with any money, and the victim was able to take pictures of the getaway vehicle with his cell phone. The vehicle drove onto Tiny Town Road toward Exit 1.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’11 to 6’0 foot, wearing a dark colored jacket, and a mask covering his face. The vehicle appears to be an older model, dark blue Jeep Grand Cherokee.
