Two shot near Paradise Hills Rd.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) is currently investigating a shooting that occurred Nov. 14 around 6 p.m. in the Paradise Hills Rd. area.

According to Sgt. Charles Gill with CPD, two people were wounded in the shooting. One juvenile victim was taken to Gateway Medical Center by EMS, and the other victim went to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Ky. without assistance. Police say neither victim was seriously injured.

A witness told police she and the juvenile victim has just exited Jordan’s Market at 1201 Paradise Hills Rd. when they parted ways. The juvenile was walking toward Summit Heights when a suspect in a blue car traveling west on Paradise Hills Rd. shot at him. He attempted to flee but was shot in the right buttocks area. He could not provide a more detailed description of the vehicle or suspects.

The witness said she saw the juvenile fall to the ground as the blue car with two black males inside traveled past while the passenger shot a black handgun out the window. She said the other victim had been shot as well but left the scene before police arrived. The second victim was later identified after he arrived at the hospital.

The shooting is still under investigation. There is no further information at this time.
