CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A photo of a local woman in her wedding dress at the scene of a crash has gone viral.
Sarah Ray, a paramedic right here in Montgomery County, visited Ryan and Gretchen from Q108 to discuss the incident.
Sarah said following her wedding ceremony, she received a call from her family saying that her father and grandparents has been involved in a crash on the way to the reception. She and her husband, Paul, who is also a paramedic, left the church immediately and headed straight to the scene to check on their family members.
The car was totaled and her family members sustained minor injuries. “Everyone was ok. Everybody is still hurting and sore but no major injuries, thankfully,” Sarah said.
Her mother, Marcy Martin, snapped the now viral photo of Sarah in her wedding dress at the scene, which many people online have captioned with “How dedicated are you?”
Sarah stressed that this is something she would have done for her family regardless of her profession.
“It wasn’t a heroic thing to do. I was there checking on my family. It just happens to be that I am a paramedic, that I was in my wedding dress and that she got that picture,” she said.
