CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Operation Stand Down (OSD) will host a donation drive Friday, Aug. 25 from 12-4 p.m. at James Corlew Chevrolet (722 College Street).
OSD is a non-profit organization that assists local veterans with job readiness, housing, and re-integration into civilian life. The nonprofit offers a long list of programs of support including financial assistance, benefits counseling, legal support, employment help, transitional housing, transportation, along with personal care items and basic needs
Donations collected at this event will go directly to local veterans in need of assistance.
During the event, the community is encouraged to drop off items and stay for special guests, live music, and food trucks.
Visitors can also purchase a flag in memory or in honor of a beloved service member for the Field of Honor display coming to Clarksville September 14-17.
Items to be collected:
• Backpacks (camouflage if possible)
• Portfolio cases/document organizers
• Umbrellas small (14″ handle)
• 7 day medicine pill carrier
• USB Flash drive (1G)
