CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville police have charged a Fort Campbell soldier in a fatal crash early Saturday on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway.

According to Clarksville Police the crash occurred just before 3:00 am at the 101st/Trenton Road intersection.

A car heading eastbound on the parkway was struck from behind by a pickup truck driven by 26-year-old Jacob Clark, a Fort Campbell solider.

The collision caused the pickup truck to override the car, and push it through the intersection. Roshawnda Dolson of Clarksville, a passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Derrick Bradford Jr. was seriously injured.

Clark received minor injuries from the collision, and was transported to Gateway Hospital. Alcohol was a factor in the crash.

An arrest warrant states that Clark’s blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.

Clark was arrested for vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and no seat belt. The total bond amount is $600,000.
