CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Patrol units of the Clarksville Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of Lasalle Street at 6:48 p.m. on Thursday for a shots fired call.
A press release said officers discovered two people with gunshot wounds inside the house. 23-year-old James Tyler Wood was found dead at the scene.
Another male identified as 41-year-old Cuong Ba Nguyen was critically injured and transported to Tennova Medical Center. Nguyen died as a result of his injuries. Both individuals suffered gunshot wounds.
Police said this does not appear to be a random shooting.
Two persons of interest were seen in the area in a white Cadillac. One is described as a black male with short dreadlocks and the other as a black male in a blue hat. No additional descriptions of the persons or the vehicle were available at the time of this release.
