Northwest JROTC to host Flag Retirement ceremony

An American Flag Retirement Ceremony will be held at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 11160 located at 1068 Lafayette Road at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 7.

Any flag being retired will be burned during the ceremony.

Cadets from Northwest High School will be hosting the event using the skills they have learned in the JROTC program.

Soldiers from from Ft. Campbell, veterans, and the VFW Post 11160 Ladies and Men’s Auxiliary will be present, and the public is invited to attend as well.

The VFW provides support for the veterans of foreign wars and soldiers of the US Armed Forces and their families. Those eligible for membership can join the VFW for a small fee.
