CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A warming shelter established by Manna Café Ministries is set up at 635 Frosty Morn Drive, right behind Bill’s Wholesale on Kraft Street. The shelter can house up to 49 people and offers food, beds and shower facilities.

The shelter will be open 24/7 through Thursday, January 30 as another cold snap is expected this week. According Jaemi Seranno with Manna Cafe there is an agreement with the owner of the property to use the building throughout the winter whenever there is bitterly cold weather.

Kenny York, Director of Manna Café, emphasized the need for volunteers and donations to maintain the shelter. “We don’t really have the funds, and we just pray that people will chip in to help us pay for this,” he said.

Volunteers can sign up through Volunteer Clarksville. For more information about the warming shelter, contact 931-933-0970.
