MIDDLE TENNESSEE, KENTUCKY – Storms that rocked Tennessee and Kentucky earlier this week have been evaluated by meteorologists.

The Nashville Weather Service in Louisville reported that Monday’s tornado in Logan and Simpson counties was classified as an EF-2, with wind speeds as high as 135 mph.

Damaging straight line winds of up to 75 mph were reported by the Nashville National Weather Service in Middle Tennessee, southeast of Thomson Station and southwest of Bell Buckle.
