Mir named new director of Veterans Service Organization

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Montgomery County Mayor’s Office has announced that Franklin Mir has been chosen as the new director if the Veterans Service Organization.

He has most recently served as a Human Resources Specialist for the Personnel Service Battalion, Ft. Campbell, KY. Mir holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Sacred Heart and a master’s degree from Murray State University. He also served in the United States Army 5th Special Forces Group as a Human Resources Sergeant.

“I am pleased to have Franklin join the Montgomery County Government team,” said Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers. “As an Army veteran, Franklin knows firsthand the challenges of those he will be serving and assisting through the benefits process. He will be a great asset for Montgomery County Government and I look forward to working with him.”

Mir said he is excited to join the county management team. “I look forward serving the veteran population of Montgomery County and I hope to find ways that we can better serve them and their families,” he said.

Mir will assume his new role immediately.
