CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville police are looking for a suspect in connection with a shooting on Greenwood Avenue Sunday night.

According to a news release, three people were traveling from the area of Crossland Ave. toward Madison St. with the suspect’s vehicle behind them.

While both vehicles were traveling, gunshots were fired from the suspect’s vehicle, hitting the victims’ vehicle at least three times.

One of the occupants of the victims’ vehicle had a possible gunshot wound, or glass fragments from the back window lodged into the back of his head, according to police. He was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt Medical Center with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. He was alert and talking at the scene.

No one else was injured.

Witnesses on scene said the shots came from a small (S-10 sized), silver or possibly gold pickup with some type of topper/camper shell on the back occupied by two people. Witnesses said the occupants were either two black men or a black man and woman.
