CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville man was allegedly robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of Tennova Healthcare Thursday, September 8 around 5:30 a.m.
According to a Clarksville Police report, the victim said he was removing a bag from the trunk of his vehicle when an unidentified male approached him and stuck a gun in his side.
The victim said the man cocked his gun, took his bag, and left the parking lot in a light-colored two-door sedan.
A witness who was sitting inside her vehicle at the time of the incident said she saw the suspect’s vehicle pull into the parking lot and said he looked suspicious. She said she heard a female voice shout “I’m going to call the cops!” before witnessing the suspect leave the area.
The victim’s daughter told ClarksvilleNow.com that the armed suspect also verbally threatened her father before taking all of his belongings, including personal documents, credit cards, and cash.
“I want people to know they’re not safe here,” she said. “Don’t come alone.”
The suspect has not yet been identified or located. The police report said surveillance footage showed the man approach the victim, but did not show him leave.
