CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man drove through two buildings in Clarksville Tuesday, Aug. 27 around noon at 2150 Lowes Drive.

Daniel Greer, 33, was leaving the parking lot when he drove through the buildings, which were for sale on the lot, destroying both in the process. An off-duty police officer from Kentucky witnessed the incident and followed Greer while calling 911.

Greer eventually drove back to the parking lot and was spotted by a local police officer, who saw him drive toward Forest Hills Dr., where the officer attempted to pull him over. Greer sped up and crashed through a fence and into a residence on Forest Hills. The officer found Greer inhaling from a can of dust-off, and he was not wearing a seatbelt.

He was later transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center. No one else was injured in the crash. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
