CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A Nashville man has been indicted by the Montgomery County Grand Jury for a shooting death that occurred in October of 2014 on Jack Miller Blvd.
According to his indictment, 39-year-old Lynwood J. Davis is charged with felony murder and aggravated burglary.
The document says Davis is accused of killing 30-year-old Joshua Simpson while attempting to burglarize his home.
An original news release said Clarksville police responded to a shots-fired call in the area, but the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.
Simpson was flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he later died.
Davis was booked into the Montgomery County Jail Friday, Feb. 19. His bond was set at $500,000.
