CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A major fire was reported Saturday evening between Rollow Ln. and the Hickory Wild Subdivision on Dunlop Ln.

A large barn was destroyed when hundreds of hay bales caught fire.

Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s help in the investigation.

“The fire is under investigation,” said Sgt. Steve Heise. “We’re looking for information from anyone who may know how the fire started, or if anyone had seen any suspicious activity before the fire. At this time, it has not been determined if it was arson, but there are indicators that the fire had been started by someone, whether it be by accident or intentionally.”

Anyone with information can contact Sgt. Heise at 931-648-0611 ext. 13404 or call the Crime Stoppers TIPS Line at 941-645-8477.
