CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILENOW) – From toddlers to teens, entertaining the kids is a top priority for the Rivers & Spires Festival. And this year, kids can be part of the 12th Annual Children’s Parade as it takes on a Superhero theme.
RIVERS AND SPIRES APRIL 14-16
Kids 12-years-old or younger and accompanying adults are encouraged to join in on the fun and enter the Parade’s themed contest by giving their floats and costumes a superhero flair. Entries will be accepted until April 10 and all those who choose to participate will be judged on creativity and their use of the parade theme.
Judging will begin at noon on Sat., April 16 and the public is invited to come cheer on the parade participants at 1 p.m. The parade will go on rain or shine, so dress appropriately. The Parade begins and ends at the Family Fun Zone.
Children who wish to participate must be under adult supervision. Participants may walk the short parade route or ride in a float, but floats must be equal to or less than 10 feet in length and not more than six feet in width not including the vehicle or adults pulling the float. No full size vehicles are allowed and only adults may operate or pull a float. Participants can bring swag but are asked not to throw it from floats. Only service animals are allowed.
