MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of the Humane Society of Clarksville-Montgomery County is to reduce overpopulation and euthanasia by offering low cost, high quality spay-neuter services to all pet owners. We work to promote responsible pet ownership and reduce the suffering of animals through educational and preventive programs.

PROGRAMS: Prevention based programs are provided countywide & beyond by offering options to pet owners & kind Samaritans who might otherwise feel forced to surrender their pet(s) to the local county shelter, which historically struggles with high intake and high euthanasia rates. High intake & euthanasia rates result in high costs for taxpayers. HSCMC preventive programs are as follows:

* Spay-Neuter Assistance Clarksville (SNAC) – a low cost spay-neuter program for all pet owners
* Animal Welfare Assistance Services (AWAS) – provides resources as available for animal care to qualifying families in need of assistance
* Anti-Tethering and Chaining Program (ATCP) – humane education for improving the quality of life for chained or tethered animals
* Shelter and Rescue Support Program (SRSP) – provides food and other animal related items as resources permit to other rescue organizations for homeless pets originating from Montgomery County
* Be Aware, Responsible and Kind (BARK) – provides speakers and educational materials on community animal welfare issues for organizations and schools
