HOPKINSVILLE, KY – The Hopkinsville Police Department would like to remind citizens, that plan on using fireworks this 4th of July, about Hopkinsville City Ordinance 25-2011.

The Ordinance states; Fireworks may only be ignited between the dates of July 1st and July 5th, between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 12:30 A.M. Fireworks used by individuals under age eighteen (18) must be supervised by a parent or guardian. Ignition within two hundred (200) feet of any structure, vehicle or any other person and igniting or discharging from a motor vehicle or on any property of another without the consent of the property owner is prohibited.
