CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. – The Christian County Grand Jury has indicted 43-year-old Travis Orten of Hopkinsville for charges related to a fatal crash.
Orten was involved in a two-vehicle crash July 4 on Huffman Mill Rd. Two people died in the crash; one at the scene and another at the hospital, according to a release from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.
The indictment indicates that Orten will be charged with the following:
• Two counts of murder
• Two counts of 1st degree assault
• Speeding
• Leaving the scene of an accident
• Persistent felony offender 1st degree
Orten was arrested Friday afternoon and booked into the Christian County Jail on a million dollar cash bond.
