CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) In our latest story about the USO Fort Campbell RP/6 Center there are actually two soldiers, Nicole Harp and her husband Bill who utilized the center’s resources as they transitioned out of the military.
Nicole Harp served at Fort Campbell under the Garrison Commander, Colonel James R. Salome and it was Salome who first mentioned RP/6 to her. She passed the information along to her husband who was actually the first to stop by the RP/6 office.
The two both worked with Francisco Vasquez and Nicole said Vasquez helped point her in the direction of where her passion truly lied. Physical therapy school and Teach for America were a couple of options that Nicole and Vasquez talked about for her after she left the Army.
then pointed the couple in the direction of a local business owner which offered something they both wanted to do long term which was to open their own Crossfit that would have a non-profit entity that would provide Crossfit to young people.
now owns Break the Mold Crossfit and talked about the business. “We provide Crossfit to at risk and high risk youth in the community and we’ve worked with a lot of community partners to bring that dream to life,” said Harp.
Nicole says her husband has realized through their work at the gym and with the RP/6 Center that his heart lies in teaching and he would like to eventually work in a university setting rather than a corporate setting.
