FORT CAMPBELL, Ky.- (CLARKSVILLENOW) – At approximately 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, a Chinook helicopter from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment made a hard landing during a routine training exercise on Fort Campbell.
According to a news release from Fort Campbell Public Affairs office, all five Soldiers aboard the aircraft suffered injuries and were transported to medical treatment facilities.
Two of those crewmembers were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they are in stable condition. The other three Soldiers were taken to Blanchfield Army Community Hospital at Fort Campbell and have been released.
No further information will be released at this time.
