CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man from Georgia was killed in a crash on Highway 76 at Port Royal Road Wednesday, Aug. 21.

Kayla Miller, 25, of Adams, TN was traveling westbound on 76 while the other driver, Brent Rose, 20, of Georgia was at a stop sign on Port Royal Road. Rose attempted to make a left hand turn, and Miller did not see him. She struck Rose’s Ford Focus on the driver’s side with her SUV, sending both vehicles across the roadway and onto the shoulder. Brent Rose was killed as a result of the crash.

Police found that Miller was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incident. Tennessee Highway Patrol said criminal charges are pending.
