Finding a good pizza place is always a process. There are so many personal preferences when it comes to pizza that one size doesn’t fit all. However, if you are looking for a new place to try out, I suggest Marco’s Pizza on Tiny Town.
Marco’s is a franchise, but one that is new to the Clarksville area. They pride themselves on making pizza the “authentic Italian way.” According to their website, they use fresh, not frozen, cheese. They make their dough in-house every day (Their Hobart Mixer is impressive!). The sauce is made from vine-ripened tomatoes, just hours after picking, and the spices are added at the restaurant. Plus, they offer generous portions of real meat.
These claims made me eager to give them a try. My fellow food explorer and I decided to try the current special, The Grilled Chicken Florentine on half of our pizza, and the White Cheezy on the other. The suggestion was made that these two flavors went well with the crispy crust, so that was what we ordered.
Our pizza came out, laden with ingredients. The entire crispy crust was spread with the Parmesan garlic sauce. The Grilled Chicken Florentine side had grilled chicken, red onions, fresh spinach, and sliced Roma tomatoes. The White Cheezy included their signature cheese blend along with feta, bacon, onions, and tomatoes. The aroma was enticing, and the flavors were delicious. I thought the Florentine side was going to be my favorite, but then I had the White Cheezy side… and I think the bacon won that flavor battle.
In addition to all sorts of pizza choices, Marco’s also offers ten varieties of subs (6”-$4.99 and 12”- $7.99), wings, breads, and five different salads (regular- $5.99 and Family- $8.99). They also have lunch specials available.
Marco’s does deliver, but make sure to check out their website for the delivery area. If you find out that you are not within their delivery area, I suggest that you make the drive to their restaurant and enjoy pizza there. It is bright and clean, and it smells amazing. The workers are knowledgeable and courteous, and the service is quick. I am looking forward to going back to try their other varieties.
