“Evening for Pat Summitt” to raise Alzheimer’s awareness

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The 2nd annual “Evening for Pat Summitt” event will be held Thursday, Sept. 26 from 5-7 p.m. at the Charles Hand Farm.

All proceeds benefit the Pat Summitt Foundation, which supports those who suffer from Alzheimer’s. The foundation makes grant to nonprofits which provide education, awareness, support services, and research.

The famous women’s basketball coach was diagnosed with early onset dementia and strives to help those in similar situations through the foundation.

The “Evening for Pat” raised $8,000 last year and is expected to bring in even more money this year. Tickets are $25 each and include dinner, dancing, and a silent auction. Pat Summitt is expected to attend if her health allows.
