Driver backs into 4-year-old child

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A 4-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle Wednesday, July 3 around 9 p.m. at the Shell Station at 1232 Trenton Rd.

According to a release from the Clarksville Police Department, a 2008 Nissan Titan driven by Genalle Brown of Clarksville backed into the child. The girl’s father and the driver argued about how far the vehicle backed up and whether the area was a parking space. Witnesses at the scene confirmed the driver’s statement.

Genalle Brown was cited for failure to use due care. The condition of the child is unknown at this time.
