CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A crash was reported Monday around 2:50 p.m. at the intersection of Peachers Mill Rd. and Tiny Town Rd. involving two school buses.

According to Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department, one Clarksville-Montgomery County school bus rear-ended another at the intersection. Both buses were headed northbound on Peachers Mill Rd.

Police say there were a few minor injuries and some passengers were transported to a medical facility. The number of passengers transported has not yet been confirmed.

Bus-9723, driven by Erika Gaines, 34, ran into the back of bus 09-13, driven by Charity Gross, 39, at the traffic light.

Gaines told police her brakes went out, which caused her to rear end the other bus. Tennessee Highway Patrol arrived on the scene to inspect the bus and did not discover anything wrong with the brakes.

Gaines was cited for following too close.
