CPD will increase patrols during holiday season

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) will provide extra patrols in major shopping areas every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Patrols areas will include Lowe’s Drive to Sam’s Club, the area surrounding Governor’s Square Mall, Kohl’s shopping area, Kmart shopping area, Walmart shopping area, and others. This will include foot patrol inside the mall and patrol cars in parking lots.

Law Enforcement will be visible to the public with the intent to prevent crimes against shoppers to promote shopper confidence. Shoppers are encouraged to be aware of their surroundings, shop with others, ensure that valuables and gifts are locked up and stored in their trunks, and shop during the day if possible.
