CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department has been alerted to a possible scam in the area.

A local medical facility informed authorities that a mother and her child, Cloe Smith, are visiting medical facilities with a collection bucket, claiming that the child has cancer.

One facility has determined this is not true, and the mother is using the daughter as a scam.

Medical facilities are asked to be aware of this issue.
