CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and Montgomery County Mayor Carolyn Bowers, following numerous cancellations from parade participants, including the Budweiser Clydesdales and bands that are unable to perform under the current weather conditions, are cancelling this year’s Christmas Parade.

There is no plan to reschedule due to scheduling conflicts.

Tree lighting ceremonies for the city and county will continue. The City tree lighting will take place on Public Square and the County tree lighting will take place on the Courthouse Plaza. Both are scheduled for 5 p.m. Santa will make an appearance at both ceremonies and hot chocolate and cookies will be available.
