CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Members of Clarksville Fire Rescue made a donation to the Howard Family, a couple who recently lost two children in a house fire, at 2:30 p.m. on the afternoon of July 30.

Travis Aaron Howard Jr., age 9, and Ann Maria Howard, 11, were killed in a fire that destroyed the family’s home on July 7.

City of Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan was in attendance to present the check along with Clarksville Fire Rescue at Fire Station 1, 802 Main Street. The money will go directly to support children’s parents, Travis Howard Sr. and Robin Howard and their 14-year-old brother, as they had no insurance at the time of the fire and lost most of their belongings.

Representatives from Sykes Funeral home were also present at the ceremony, as the business donated their services to the family.
