CDE warns customers of phone scam

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Department of Electricty (CDE) has been notfied by customers of a phone solicitation scam.

The scammers tell the customer to pay electric bills over the phone to avoid termination of service. Jim Manning with CDE says the company does not solicit payments over the phone.

To check account status, CDE advises customers to call 931-648-8151.
