CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Department of Electricity (CDE) wishes to warn the public of a possible utility scam.

Customers have been calling CDE, saying someone who claims to represent the business is demanding payment over the phone to avoid service disconnection.

CDE Lightband does not make phone calls to customers regarding overdue amounts or solicit payment over the phone.

Those who wish to avoid the scam can call CDE at 931-648-8151 or visit the CDE website to check an account status.
